5 tips on finding highland cows in Scotland 🐮✨

Of course, these are animals and there is never a guarantee you’ll see them, but after some research here are some helpful tips to get you started:

🐮 Visit a farm - some offer buggy tours of their farm to see the cows (Kitchen Coos & Ewes and Kirkton farm offer these!)

🐮 Check out a highland coo experience - we chose the @quilacridhe tearoom, which is a cafe, bnb, and farm that allows you to pet & feed their coos!

🐮 Attend an agriculture show - these often take place in the spring and summer, but you’ll for sure to get see some hairy coos!

🐮 Explore a national park or reserve - in areas like Cairngorms and Glencoe, you’ll often run into cows grazing in fields - we saw quite a few in Cairngorms!

🐮 Take a road trip - there are some popular roads you can drive on with a high chance of coo spotting (Bealach na Bà and the North Coast 500 route are two examples)

Remember to respect local farms and private property when on the search for coos!

Did this special hot chocolate ingredient surprise you? ☕️✨

On our visit to Quito last month, we were introduced to @muyukakaw and discovered the authentic way to make hot chocolate in Ecuador - and you might be surprised by the ingredients we used! 🥰

1. Start with warming the amount of milk or water you’d like to drink, then add 2 tablespoons of @muyukakaw chocolate nibs per serving

2. Mix the chocolate as it melts, add natural vanilla, and let it sit for roughly 5 minutes

3. Pour your servings, and to finish, top your hot chocolate with whipped egg whites and cinnamon

Definitely a recipe you can try at home for an authentic Ecuadorean experience, but what do you - would you add the egg whites!? 👇🏻

Food that looks so good it must be a piece of art✨🤤

📍Agave Bistro

We stumbled on @agavebistro on our first night in the Galapagos, mainly because it had good reviews and looked affordable

Little did we know that we would be dining here at least once a day for the rest of our stay!

Here are some of the reasons we kept coming back for more:

👨🏻‍🍳 Santiago, the owner and chef, is INCREDIBLY passionate about his food and loves to experiment with flavors
🐟 They use local produce and work closely with local farmers and fishermen (you can TASTE the quality!)
💰 Santiago believes that you can still have great food, for a reasonable price - everything on the menu is around 20$ or less!
🌱 They’re vegan-friendly - although we aren’t vegan, it’s always nice to see options for all!
🇪🇨 You can find Ecuadorian and Mexican fusion dishes inspired by Santiago’s time in Mexico
🍽️ The food is simply DELICIOUS - I recommend the

Find Agave Bistro on Santa Cruz Island, roughly a 10-minute walk from the center of Puerto Ayora!
